Inter Milan have appointed former  Juventus and Chelsea manger Antonio Conte, the club reported on Friday.

Conte replaces Luciano Spalletti, who was sacked not long ago after two seasons with the club. The Nerazzurri finished fourth in the Serie A table with a 2-1 lose over Empoli, to secure place for the Champions League.

Conte return is highly respected, with former  Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta. The pair worked firmly together to lead Juventus to three back to back different titles within 2011 and 2014 before Conte left to oversee Italy and afterward Chelsea, where he won the Premier League title in his first season and finished his second with triumph in the FA Cup.

Another part in my life is coming, I'm really happy, Conte said in a statement on Inter's site. I have picked Inter due to its history. I was struck by the club's straight forwardness and the longing to take Inter back to where it was.

Conte has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea the previous summer, due in huge part to a long and bitter fight in court that finished for the current month with a Premier League director's  management willing to support him.

Chelsea have been said to pay Conte around £9 million ,the sum owned for the last unfulfilled year of his agreement at Stamford Bridge and the Italian, presently allowed to continue his vocation, has come back to Serie A.
